Note that there is no trailer before the films. Please arrive in advance, especially if you are planning to order something at the café-bar before the screening.

LANGUAGE AND SUBTITLE

We always present films in their original, undubbed version (with the exception of certain animated films). The versions of the films presented depend on the existing versions available from distributors. For Quebec films, to increase their accessibility we often present them with English subtitles.

Note that for several international films, there are simply no French subtitles : we therefore present the version with English subtitles.

The language and version of the subtitles is always indicated on the film page of our website (left section). When it says English and French subtitles, it means we are presenting the two versions alternately. It therefore depends on the screening and the information is in the title of the screening at the step of buying tickets.

Here is a short summary of acronyms related to languages and subtitles:

VOA = Original English version (no subtitles)
VOF = Original French version (no subtitles)
VOSTA = Original version with English subtitles
VOSTF = Original version with French subtitles

ACCESSIBILITY

Please note that there are three steps at the entrance of the cinema (21 inches) and no access ramp. A toilet is accessible on the ground floor.

In the cinema room, we have only one space reserved for a person with reduced mobility. To prepare the space adequately, you must notify us at least 24 hours in advance by contacting us at 514-282-2087 or info@cinemamoderne.com

We are members of the CAL (Carte Accompagnement Loisir) so anyone who accompagnies an handicapped person does not have to pay for their entry when showing us their CAL card.

THEATER

Cinéma Moderne provides an intimate cinematic experience in its 54-seat theater space. The theater is equipped with a Barco Smart Laser (4K) projector, complete with a Dolby ATMOS sound system.
