Sound of Metal [LAST SCREENING]


An overwhelming sensory experience, emotional and brutal, Darius Marder’s first feature film, Sound of Metal, dives head-first into the universe of Ruben, a young drummer in a metal band. He sees his entire existence fall apart in the face of irreversible hearing loss. Forced to temporarily abandon his girlfriend Lou to join a community for the deaf, Ruben is forced to rethink his relationships with the world and others one day at a time.
