We’re going back to the classics this month with a new 4K restoration of Alfred Hitchcock’s Rope. A tense psychological thriller that explores themes of power, control, morality and desire. The film revolves around two men, Brandon and Phillip, who commit a murder as an intellectual experiment, concealing the crime in plain sight. Their relationship has an undeniable queer subtext, it’s charged with tension, and a sense of intimacy that blurs the lines between friendship and something more complex and kinky.
