For the return of our morning screening series, Petits Modernes, the Cinéma Moderne is pleased to present La guerre des tuques (from La Fête productions and director André Melançon) as part of our new series, Tales for All, in tribute to producer Rock Demers.

“La guerre des tuques (The Dog Who Stopped the War) tells the story of an epic battle between two groups of young people fighting for a large castle of snow and ice. One of the groups is led by Luc, a hitherto undisputed leader, and the other is led by Pierre and his inseparable Saint-Bernard, who will soon be joined by a new girl in the village, Sophie. This classic comedy about friendship, rivalry and solidarity touches young and old alike with its freshness and authenticity. – Éléphant, mémoire du cinéma québécois
