In collaboration with Panorama-Cinema, curated by filmmaker Brandon Blommaert
A selection of short films that explores the long relationship between animation and electronic music. Both animation and electronic music have an inherent ability to conjure whole new worlds out of nothing, allowing creators to be untethered by the confines of reality. All of these films have their own unique relationship to sound, some are abstract works of visual music, some are narratives that take us on journeys through the depths of the underground rave scene in Holland.
Featuring works by Brandon Blommaert, Felix Colgrave, Larry Cuba, Culturesport, Nic Hamilton, Piotr Kamler, Norman McLaren, Emily Pelstring, Sabrina Ratté and Natalia Stuyk.
