One night, a woman in danger calls the police. Anna takes the call. A man is arrested. Weeks go by, as the justice system searches for evidence. Aly, Anna, and Dary confront the echoes of that night that they can’t seem to escape. Winner of the Audience Award in the parallel section Giornate degli Autori at the Venice Film Festival, Canadian-Belgian director Delphine Girard delivers a poignant debut feature that sensitively and meticulously dissects the traumas related to an assault, while also highlighting the weight of the legal process following an accusation.
