CINEMANIA: Chrysalides

Over the course of ten years of filming and exploring as many countries, six teenagers grow up, travel, and bear witness to their own transformations. Like the landscapes they traverse, these six young people chart a long, winding journey inward, one that is profoundly unique, each time. Filmmaker Sandrine Béchade approaches her six participants with warmth and compassion, creating unprecedented opportunities for connection and exchange around the globe. Exceptionally sincere, this intimate feature offers a wide-ranging, nuanced meditation on the changes that shape adolescence. Against breathtaking landscapes, six young people share what defines them, moves them, and turns their worlds upside down.
