Somewhere in a typical American suburb – a big house and an attic bedroom containing an unknowable adolescent universe orbiting around the World Wide Web – a lonely teen stares intently at her computer screen. “Casey here. Today I’m going to take the World’s Fair Challenge.” A worrisome ritual, at once banal and bizarre, proceeds. Over the course of the next few days, Casey documents every step of this viral challenge – which takes hold of her body and mind, and spins her in an increasingly dissociative state. – Fantasia
